Who we are

What we collect, and only what we collect

• Your name and phone number, when you call us, book online, or fill in a form.
• The address of the job, because we have to drive to it.
• What you need done — the lock, the door, the vehicle.
• Payment details are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

We do not ask for, and do not want, your date of birth, your social security number, or anything else a locksmith has no business knowing.

Text messages

If you call our published business line and press a key on the menu to ask for pricing or a booking link, we text it to the number you called from. Pressing that key is your consent, and it is the only way a number ends up on our list. We do not buy phone numbers, we do not upload lists, and we do not message anyone who has not called us first.

The “Ask a price” chat box

The chat box does not know who you are and cannot see your phone number. It is a conversation inside this website, not a text message. It receives exactly four things: what you type, any photo you choose to send, which page you were on, and a random ID your browser makes up so the conversation remembers itself if you click through to another page. That ID is not linked to your name, your email or your number, and it is stored in your own browser — clear your browsing data and it is gone.

The only way we get your phone number from the chat is if you type it. If you do, we treat that as you asking us to get in touch about that job, and we keep it so we can call you back about it. We do not add it to a marketing list, we do not text you offers, and nobody buys it from us.

Two other things, because leaving them out would make the paragraphs above less true than they sound. Your IP address is counted for one hour, so that nobody can run our chat bill up by hammering it — it is a tally, not a profile, and it expires on its own. And your conversation is passed to Anthropic, the company whose model writes the replies, which processes it to answer and does not use it to train on. Conversations are deleted after seven days; a number you typed is kept for ninety.

Who else sees your details

Only the people who need them to get your door open:

• The technician assigned to your job — name, number, address, and what the job is.
• Our answering service, when a call comes in outside the hours we are picking up ourselves. They take a message and pass it to us.
• Our booking and payment providers, to hold the appointment and take payment.

That is the whole list. We do not sell your information to anybody, for any purpose, ever. We do not run advertising that shares your details with a data broker.

How long we keep it

Job records are kept for our accounts, our warranty, and in case you call us back about the same door. If you would like your details removed, ask us and we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep.

Calls

Calls to our business line may be recorded for quality and for training our team. If you would rather not be recorded, tell whoever answers and we will make a note instead.

Children

Our services are for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something with your information that this page says we do not do.
